Hello.  Just a quick test.  thanks

And now it is August – HOT!

Posted by Quilt Handler - August 3rd, 2010

Where has the time gone????
Last month was filled with the AQS in Knoxville, busy, busy, busy. Thanks to those of you who stopped by to say HI…I was working in the MidSouth Sewing and Floriani booths most of the time but also hung out with Laurie Malm in the Lollipops booth (she has a great new book to go with the Quick Point Rulers). I will be putting Laurie’s book on the site asap…the rulers are there now…take a look…Another friend, Stephanie, with Fabric Studio, was there…and of course all of my old…er..long time buddies..Britt and Mickie and their great array of ‘tools’…it was a great show. If you missed it this year, try next summer.
I have a dinner on the deck for my vendor/teacher friends..so we can relax after a long day at the booth/classroom.

Now, I am working on the last rows of two challange quilts that some of the Square in a Square teachers do every year…the last rows are always more challenging than the first ones!

Next, I will start making kits for the Fall shows. I will be teaching at the American Sewing and Quilt Expo in Novi, MI and then on to Indiana for the Embroidery Conference…then on to Duluth (GA) for the GA/Original Quilt Show…followed by a quick trip to Houston for Market…then…collapse time…will probably head down to FL for some R and R!!

Don’t forget to find me on Facebook and Twitter!! Isn’t this fun…well, the challenge quilts are calling…more later. Happy Stitching…

It’s June!!

Been really busy this summer, mostly as a chauffeur.  My hubby had a total knee replacement on the 4th of May,  so you know what I have doing!!  He is healing well but still needs me to drive him to work…he started back part time.

Now that he is back at work part of the day, I am back at work, too!!  Thanks to Holly for the interview about the Zip Clips…they have been sellling well.  There are so many uses…holding bindings to holding papers together…take a look.

The newest thing and new to the market as of June 7th, is the snap frame from Designs in Machine Embroidery.  I loved the Magna Hoop (and so did many of you!) but the Snap Frame is even better.  Read all about it on my site and then order one!  I can’t wait for the 8×8…what fun it will be to use it for quilt blocks, especially in the quilt as you go method..it is not available yet but watch for it.

I will be at the American Sewing and Quilting Expo in Novi, MI at the end of September, followed by the International Embroidery Conference (IEC) in Indiana…and the to the Atlanta area for the Georgia Quilt show…then off to market to find great new things for you…so October will find me ‘on the road again’…but I do get to stay home in July when the AQS show will be in Knoxville.  I do not have a booth there but will be helping my friends at Midsouth Best sewing..and others…so look for me and say HI!

Have a great summer!

Been busy!!

This has been a very busy Spring season!  I taught and vended at the American Embroidery Conference in Atlanta, GA last week.  It is always one of my most favorite things to do.  I taught a class using Texture Magic and a class on binding techniques…very busy and lots of fun!!  Julie Hall, from Australia, came home with me and taught classes at MidSouth Best here in Knoxville.  On Saturday, we got to play host to Santi, Cara, and Peter from Hatched in Africa and All Sorts.  What fun!  I am tired!!!  Dear hubby goes in for a knee replacement this week.  Will keep you posted.  Meanwhile, check out new products on the site.  Barbara

Well, is it finally here??? I saw some Robins playing the yard and it was 27 degrees out there!!
I hope you are getting ready for some warm weather and some new projects!
I have new patterns for Texture Magic and am having so much fun. I made a darling bonnet and booties this morning. They are part of an heirloom baby set. I am really addicted to Texture Magic and you can be, too!!
Look around and see the other fun items I have for you. I am getting ready for the American Embroidery Conference in Altanta at the end of April and hope to see many of you there. Meanwhile, I will be vending at the Smoky Mountain Quilt Show in Maryville, TN March 19-21…y’all come!!
